I’ve just started a new white label web services program. I’ve been thinking about doing this for some time now and in a way I already do this for some clients, so I decided I wanted to go full force with the idea.
It’s a very realistic way for anyone to make money, it might be worth a further look for those trying to make money online:

UPDATE: New predictions discussed with Patrick McKeown (from AnIdeaDesign.com).
We discussed the possibilities of Netflix partnering with YouTube to stream YouTube videos directly to your TV. Also we discussed further integration with cable channels and the future of Netflix as a cable provider, that instead of just streaming movies/TV from Showtime, HBO etc. that it may run their actual 24/7 schedule, and of course naturally other channels will get into the mix. The big one Patrick mentioned was a deal with MTV to stream music videos and shows.
He also mentioned public access / independent shows, something similar to blip.tv I think. Which already streams to Roku, a big player in bringing Netflix to your TV, so that’s definitely not a stretch. The potential and grow for Netflix is endless, I also see it adapting all the OnDemand type features, workout videos, dating and so on. My big hope is that Netflix buys out GameFly (which is the Netflix equivalent for video games). We’ll see how many of our predictions come true in the coming years…
At this point I think it’s safe to say that Netflix is an unstoppable beast. For as little as $8.99/month you can get something that is far more superior than anything Comcast or Dish has to offer at $50/month and I think it’s very likely to put Blockbuster’s brick and mortar stores out of business, but I think they’ll stay in the game with there online clone of what Netflix has done.
For just about as long as humans have existed we’ve used technology and innovation to create weapons, from sharpened rocks and spears to WMDs (Weapons of Mass Destruction). The question of whether violence, crime and war will remain in our future is probably certain as long as humans inhabit the Earth, but that isn’t what I’m talking about.
As popularized by Science Fiction films like the Matrix and Terminator, I am talking about the idea of technology advancing to the point where we give it too much control or lose control of it altogether. We already have a lot of dependencies on technology, not just in our social, domestic and working lives (internet, cell phones, washer and dryer, fridge, alarm clocks, vehicles), but for our very lives themselves.
A lot lately I’ve been noticing some increasing problems with the design industry. Mostly I would like to address the issues I’m seeing with clients (or potential clients) not wanting to sign on to projects in the standard/professional way, they are asking for work before pay and only paying if the work is satisfactory out of fear of risk.
